Product Description
Infrared inductive lamps are suitable for use in staircase, balconies, toilets, hotesl, school buildings, hospitals, warehouses, enterprises, public buildings and other areas where automatic lighting is needed. Their advantages are as follows:
·Energy-saving: The infrared lamps are ON when a person stay at areas, and OFF when there is not person at areas.
·Environmentally-friendly and safe: Human bodies don not touch switches, thus greatly reducing the opportunities of virus infection at public areas and avoiding electuic shock.
·Long service life: Because lamps are not always ON, the service life of bulbs may be extended by about 2000 percent
·Easy-to-use: The lamps are ON when a person approach them and OFF when a person leaves, requiring no operation.
·High cost efficiency: light sources are integrated with lamp switches and commonly-used switch control circuits are omitted so that circuit design is simplified and installation and project cost are reduced.
I. Principle of Operation
1. Human bodies have a constant temperature (36.5℃approximately)and thus emit infrared ray with a specific wavelength (about 10μM). The detectors built in passive infrared inductive lamps operate on infrared rays emitted by human bodies. Infrared rays from human bodies are fortified by fresnel lens and focused on infrared sensors. Infrared sensors are made from pyroelectric elements with a high thermoelectric coefficient and sense infrared radiation from human bodies in a non-contact manner.Pyroelectric elements will release charge externally once such infrared radiation changes. Such changes in charges will be amplified, sensed and processed by subsequent circuits and then a output signal will be obtained.
2. Fresnel lens are available with different focal distance (sensing distance and range) depending upon performance requirements, thus producing different visual field. As a result, different sensing results will be achieved when different Fresnel lens are mounted on inductive lamps.
II. Mounting Method (see Fig.1)
1. Open the power switches;
2. Open lamp housings and mount lamps bases on the position chosen;
3. The detectors of mounted inductive lamps should face human body movement
4. Connect 220V power wire (phase wire and neutral wires may be exchanged ) and wrap the joints with insulating tape;
5. Cover lamp housings;
6. Close the power switches
III. Detection Method
1. When lamps are initially powered on, the lamp status is undefined. A person needs to leave the detection range for least one minute and wait for the completion of initial power-on and initialization. After one minute expires, the inductive lamps should be OFF.
2. At night, the inductive lamps will be ON when a person approaches the detection zone, and be OFF a delay time (30s generally) after he or she leaves the detection zone.
3. If the test is conducted in the daytime, totally cover inductive lamps with a black object. At this point, the lamps should be ON. When a person leaves the detection zone and a delay time has expired, the lamps should be OFF.
4. For an inductive lamp without light control option, either in the daytime or in the evening, it should be ON when a person approaches it and be OFF when he or she leaves it .
5. If a person moves again in the detection range within the delay time after an inductive lamp is triggered, the inductive lamps will remain ON state during the delay time after the second movement is detected. Thus, the lamps seem always ON.
6. If a person does not move in the detection range and a delay time has expired, the inductive lamps will be
OFF automatically (because the detector can detect a signal only when a body is moving, and not detect a sgnal when a human body remains standstill)
IV. Troubleshooting
The main troubles which may occur are as follows:
1.Always ON: when a human body leaves the detection zone and the time delay has expired, the lamps are still ON. (indicating detector failure).
2. Always OFF: when a person moves within the detection zone at night, the lamps remain OFF.(indicating bulb failure of detector failure).
3. Blinking: When a lamp has become OFF and no person stays at the detection range, it becomes ON and OFF alternatively.(indicating detector failure).
※ The prerequisite for the above-mentioned troubleshooting criteria is that the lamps were correctly mounted and installation environment conform to the requirements, otherwise, the trouble may result from other causes.
V. Precaution
1. The lamps are not suitable for mounting on common flammable surfaces.
2. Any obstacle must be removed from the detection range of the detectors, otherwise, the detector may mot detect a signal emitted by a human body.
3. When replacing light sources, the new bulb should have a power not greater than the one of original bulb or not greater than the one given by the instruction manual.
4. When mounting inductive lamps, avoid interference from other light sources.
5. If use at outdoor locations, take rain-proof measures and avoid detector interference by wind and other strong convection.
